Getting Started - First Time Users' Guide

To access & use most of the features of the Lighthouse solutions and for the web pages and documentation to display properly, you will need to have the following:

 Step 1: User ID & Password

Most pages will require the entry of a User ID and password.

  • Members: Your User ID is your Lighthouse Member ID and associated password provided to you at the start of your Lighthouse services.

  • Registered Users: You can get a FREE User ID & Password by registering with Lighthouse. Click here to register now. If you have already registered, refer to the confirmation e-mail you received after you registered.

 Step 2: Correct Browser & Settings

Our website is best viewed using:

Your current settings & browser are:

* Current Screen Resolution:

Must be at least 800x600 for

pages to view correctly.

  x

* Current Browser:

* Browser Version:

* Browser Java enabled?:

* Required items. If you do not see any information in the boxes above, then your browser is probably not Java enabled.

 Step 3: Secure Browser

To access the Member & Registered User areas, your browser must also support:

  • 128-bit encryption (also called domestic-, U.S.-grade, or strong encryption), which encodes information so that it cannot be read without decoding.

  • Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) version 2.0 protocol, which ensures that communication between your computer and our Web server can't be interrupted or intercepted by an unauthorized user.

To determine if you have the proper security level, go to Help|About... in your browser's Help menu. If your browser does not meet our security requirements, use one of the links on our Browser Guide to download an upgraded browser.

We strongly recommend Internet Explorer 6+
